employment vs. entrepreneurship

Often, people think that being their own boss would be the ultimate goal. However, when it comes to actually making a choice, a lot of them seem hesitant. 53% of the  respondents in the latest Randstad Workmonitor say they would love to be an entrepreneur but only 27% would actually leave their current job.

Other key findings on this report include:

  • 57% think the risk of failure is too big when starting their own business.
  • Younger respondents and men are more afraid to fail than older respondents and women.
  • 50% of the global respondents say they would like to work for a startup.
