It is expected that two third of the world population will be living in urban areas by 2050. Urban planning, transport systems, access to information, education and decent work are key to sustainable urban development. This is a key outcome of Randstad’s latest flexibility@work research report.

The 2018 edition of flexibility@work consists of two studies:

  • high-tech job multipliers focuses on the spillover effects from high-tech employment to low-tech employment.
  • cities as the forefront of human and economic development explores why historically some cities have been doing better than others and what will make cities competitive in the future.
